QL Hotel Op Co Pty Ltd and Waymark Hotels Properties No 45 Pty Ltd, which are part of the Waymark Hotels Group, propose to acquire the land and business of The Queensland Hotel in Goondiwindi, Queensland and the land comprising the nearby motel and residential premises (the **Acquisition**). The Waymark Hotels Group owns and operates hotels (pubs) that provide hospitality services (food and drink, including alcohol), gaming machines, accommodation services, and takeaway liquor retailing (bottle shops). It currently operates pubs and bottle shops in regional Qld and the NT. The Queensland Hotel is a commercial hotel business located at 134 Marshall Street, Goondiwindi, Qld, which provides hospitality and accommodation services, and has a drive-through bottle shop for the retail service of alcohol. In addition to the accommodation onsite at The Queensland Hotel, there are further motel accommodation facilities at 67 and 71 Bowen Street, Goondiwindi and a residential premises at 73 Bowen Street, Goondiwindi which are on adjoining and adjacent blocks, and which form part of the Acquisition.
